It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 years since Dio’s passing. I’ve been a fan of RJD since Black Sabbath’s “Mob Rules”. After that first listen, I ran out and bought everything he’d ever done. There’s something medieval and magical about Dio’s voice, like a good game of D&D or a great episode of Game Of Thrones (Although I never pictured as many bare breasts when listening to Dio). Regardless, he had the power to transport you to another time… a time of total awesomeness and whatnot.
I’m so grateful to have been able to meet my idol and photograph him. He was such a humble, wonderful guy.
